Action

(note: the rooster pic is random to the post content...because its what I had, ha!)

So you believe in God. Good! Now glorify Him.

I got to talk to friends over the weekend & some of our conversations feel on the topic of accountability & glorifying God. It is often heard, "I believe in God." Thats wonderful, a great starting point. The problem is, a lot of times, that is all that is said; & worse than what is said, that is all that is done.

It takes an insane amount of devotion & faith to believe in God, that isnt something that should be taken lightly; the words tossed around in conversation just to make people comfortable in their surroundings.
But believing in God is not just about saying you believe. You have to live it, show it in everything you do, because you are God's ambassador here on Earth; if you arent representing Him well then you arent being a very efficient ambassador.

This pertains to your lifestyle choices. How you go about day to day with your demeanor & attitude. Your accountability.

Remember that you are (almost) always being watched by someone, & if you are walking through your life saying that you are a believer of God, then do Him proud & live like it. It is a wonderful, glorious, joyous place to be, in it for God. Personally I believe one can gain amazing happiness, security & direction through a life spent knowing & serving Him. And I wish that for everyone that I know because I know it is amazing...
(does that mean I think different lifestyles are wrong or I am better than you? Not at all. I just love & care about everyone so darn much & I know the great that God has done for me; I wish He could do it for other people too... & I want us to all be able to party in Heaven together.)

I try to live each day for God, working for Him to glorify Him, showing others Him through me. Some days I think about it less than others; Im not perfect by any means, no one is! I figure that if I can do this right in my life, then I will be happy & have a sense of accomplishment.

"Neither do people light a lamp & put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on a stand, & it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds & praise your Father in Heaven." ~Matthew 5:15-16
