I used chopsticks for the first time tonight, used them & actually ate something with them, that is. A "simple" task such as that uses so much coordination of the finger muscles, so to be able to not move the thumb but move the pointer and middle. I mused while undergoing the task that American children using a knife and fork really dont have much to complain about.
I used the chopsticks on the rice...when it came time for the rolls I politely, if ever so American, asked for a fork.
