This Weekend

*a precious baby boy was born
*stayed up very late one night & spent the next (gorgeous weather) day out shopping & relaxing with a friend
*got myself some fabulous new shades & tickets to a show
*went to church, praised & worshiped God
*saw family & had homemade dinner.
And all to kick off spring break from classes. Yes, a good weekend indeed

I Cried In Church Today

During opening worship, which was beautifully done today btw, there was a song. Goodness knows I cant remember all the words, it was saying something about when we will go to Heaven & Jesus will embrace us in His arms & I started crying. Now, I have teared up before when they have shown those tug-at-your-heart videos, or when the pastor has delivered a line in a message that hit me like a wave, but this was edging on what Oprah likes to call the "ugly cry". (But still ever so discreetly, because we all know how I dont like to make a scene, right?) That song started thinking and talking to God right then...

I knew the people I was looking upon on that stage singing & some of the people surrounding me in that wonderful place will be with me in another even more wonderful & glorious place, Heaven. I know my sweet friend Sarah will be there with me. Even as I type this now tears fill my eyes, because that fills me with such joy. & others I am sure will be there, even if they arent in my life day to day now, they will be, eternally, one day.

Its going to be such an amazing time up there...I just cant wait!

I Twi Pretty Hard

Sooooo...I used to try to keep my love for the Cullens closeted, but really, whats the point anymore?

I have a reference to them on my license plate frame, I will be flipping the page to a new Vamp or Wolf for this entire calendar year of 2010, their faces adorn my fridge. Shirts?...I got em' (see above pic) Soundtracks?...resting soundly in my car's middle console. Oh, dont forget the books! The glorious books!...read em'...multiple times. I read Books 1 & 2 to My Little Shadow when she was itty bitty...yes, she was captivated. It has even gone so far as to naming the stray cat outside my house Bella Twilight (btw, the name totally fits)

And now, it has all culminated to my first "launch party". Thankfully I was able to find a friend who is just as much a fan as I am...because you know what they say about girls going alone to launch parties...

I dont think "they" say anything about that...who is "they" anyways?...another post for another day...

Call me crazy...some people do...but I try not to live for myself. I strive to try to make things around me better. And not for me or for the glory of it, but for Him & His kingdom. Because after all He has given me, the least I can do is live a moral, upstanding life where I attempt to show peace & goodness to those around me. To leave a mark, an IMPACT, so that when I am gone there will be more to show for God's works than just another life lived. We are the greatest evidence that God exists...lets not let Him down.
